John Adams OBE
John has had a long career in the voluntary and statutory sectors, working at a senior level with some of the UK’s largest disability charities.
He lives in West Wiltshire and has been a trustee of several charities; he has held several public appointments including:
 Chair of the Department of Health’s Voluntary & Community Sector Sounding Board
 Justice of the Peace
 Chair South East Wiltshire Advisory Sub-Committee
John was awarded the OBE in recognition of his contribution to social care.
He has been campaigning against the government’s road building proposal for the Stonehenge World Heritage Site for several years and has been the Chairman of the Stonehenge Alliance for the past three years.
