Odette Wilkens is President & General Counsel and Co-founder of Wired Broadband, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit in New York City, formed in 2020, focusing on safe technology for the public.

WBI is raising awareness of the superior benefits of running fiber optics to the premises (homes, schools, businesses) for capacity with symmetrical Gigabit speeds, safety, cybersecurity, with ground-breaking applications in telemedicine and emergency preparedness. Odette has been a technology transactional attorney for over 20 years having represented multi-national corporations in entertainment, finance and technology.

Odette is the co-founder and co-chair of The National Call for Safe Technology (thenationalcall.org), a coalition of over 100 organizations and individuals advocating for safe telecommunications.

She has authored over 13 position papers submitted to federal and state agencies on cybersecurity, the advantages of fiber deployment over wireless, and the rights of those disabled by wireless radiation to equal access to the internet.

Odette holds online, national Town Halls featuring successes in fiber deployment that have become an economic boon for communities, and on federal bills threatening to preempt local authority on wireless placement.
