TV Projects:
America Unearthed, a four season series (49 one-hour episodes) on History in which Scott explores historical and geologic mysteries around the country, to Canada, and beyond to Europe.
Pirate Treasure of the Knights Templar, a series (6 one-hour episodes) on History in which Scott worked with underwater explorer Barry Clifford to explain late 17th century pirate shipwreck artifacts found in Madagascar which have Templar and Freemasonic symbolism on them. Scott’s journey takes him around the world to Templar strongholds like Acre, Jerusalem, Portugal, and Goa India.
Holy Grail In America, a two-hour documentary that premiered on History in September, 2009, that was the forerunner to the TV series America Unearthed which investigated the possibility of Knights Templar in North America long before Columbus. Scott also appeared in the follow-up documentary, Who Really Discovered America, in 2010.
Bio:
Forensic geologist Scott Wolter, best known as the host of History channel’s hit show America Unearthed which follows him on his quest to uncover the truth behind controversial historic artifacts and sites found throughout North America, and beyond. He also co-hosted History’s Pirate Treasure of the Knights Templar about late 17th century pirate shipwrecks, Freemasons, and the Knights Templar.
Scott is also the author of several books including Akhenaten to the Founding Fathers: The Mysteries of the Hooked X and The Hooked X: Key to the Secret History of North America. Together these books cover the story of his continuing research and resulting discoveries made over the last 15 years, beginning with his ongoing quest to uncover the mysteries of the controversial Kensington Rune Stone he examined in 2001. The Kensington stone is a medieval document carved in rock which Scott proposed is a land claim, carved in Minnesota in 1362, by a party of Templar Knights.
Scott graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Geology and Earth Science from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 1982. Professionally, Scott, a forensic geologist, has worked as a petrographer since 1985. In 1990, he founded American Petrographic Services and continues to serve as President. He has been the principal petrographer in more than 7,000 material forensic investigations throughout the world, including the evaluation of fire-damaged concrete from the Pentagon following the attacks of September 11, 2001.
