How often do you wake up to feel you are not quite ready to start your day, many of us may reach for the alarm clock or smartphone to snooze that ‘Siren of Dawn’ in the hope to escape the lure to the ‘rocks of reality’ – and to perpetuate your sleep for another few minutes… 

Some people may be sufficiently self-disciplined to wake-up – even – just before the alarm sounds, however many of us may have become ‘Serial Snoozists’, continually snoozing the alarm until we either feel ready to begin our morning routine – or even find sufficient consciousness and dexterity to deactivate the alarm – to allow us to continue sleeping indefinitely… 

Some may relate to finding themselves waking-up to making a mental calculation of how many snoozes equals the short cuts you hope to make through shower, breakfast, negotiating traffic to arrive at your job on time…

Ofcourse our willingness to change brain states from deep sleep Delta – through Theta – to feet on the ground daytime reality, is governed by our posterior hypothalamus, a vital element of our brain governed by our subconscious, however the true catalyst for starting the day properly is our self determined motivation. 

It is all too easy to understand why a child may wish to spring out of bed at the first sign of bright sunshine through the bedroom curtains on his or her birthday, however, I am sure we can all relate to waking up to a bruised sky with icy rain – to face a less than cheerful birthday celebration, perhaps a day filled with banal routines, stress, malaise or worse…

Personally, I have experienced all of the above at different times in my life, however, in these days of ‘house arrest’ due to the alleged global ‘invisible enemy’, I personally feel more positive and vitalized than ever! I feel flooded with positivity as this is our time to make a difference.

Unfortunately, I suspect the majority of the human race is not currently waking-up with smiles and optimism but instead is caught in a seemingly designed program, a perpetual cycle, a self-fulfilling prophecy… marketed by soulless media prostitutes, seemingly governed by the political puppet show – all at the hand of the extreme minority.

As the invisible enemy I speak of – is not in my opinion – COVID 19 but the ’new normal’ which is being globally enforced without logic, without sensitivity and in many cases without respect to our freedom and human rights.

There are just too many unanswered questions about this WHO authorized pandemic, this new global lockstep regime, with obvious signs of corruption, manipulation, exploitation, and tyranny – which is no longer even ‘hiding’ in plain sight.

However as long as YOU sleep, as long as you choose to keep Snoozing the alarm, the less chance we ALL will have to restore critical thinking, to stand-up and take responsibility to reshape a positive and balanced future for OURselves and for OUR children.

Timothy Saunders is a British national who grew-up near to the south coast of the United Kingdom. Positively influenced by the nearby yachting and shipping scene, he chose his ideal career path at the age of ‘ten’ when he decided to become a yacht designer. He studied Industrial Design at the coveted Coventry University and is fortunate to have been chosen by many of the world’s highly revered yacht Design Studios to work on an array of live projects of different sizes, styles and uses, during what he affectionately calls his apprenticeship years.
