No, we’re NOT going to talk about “Oppenheimer the Movie” tonight (well, not much …), but about The Event itself … and the Man … and the HD Physics … behind this “world-shattering moment” in world history ….
And, explore the question–
Why, of all people — of all “nuclear” US physicists living at the time — was Robert Oppenheimer chosen to lead this “desperate, ‘impossible,’ mid-20th Century physics and engineering effort” — when he was actually a retiring “theoretical physicist” at heart; just a few years earlier, Oppenheimer had led his students propose the first workable mathematical model for a (then, completely theoretical) “physical black hole” … decades before another physicist (Wheeler) would give the later confirmed astrophysical phenomenon its now “immortal” name.
If Oppenheimer had stayed with theory, he could have (according to his contemporaries … would have) eventually won the Nobel Prize ….
Instead, he led a team that created a weapon of (ultimately …) “unimaginable destructive power,” in a mythological effort (he has said …) “to end ALL wars ….”
So, was it Oppenheimer’s unique obsession with Sanskrit (and its Ancient Hindu History …) which allowed him — after seeing his first shattering atomic detonation — to suddenly see in it “Krishna’s Universal Form” … a “radiant, terrifying being … of many mouths and eyes!?”
“If the radiance of a thousand suns were to burst at once into the sky, that would be like the splendor of the mighty one [Krishna] …” was Oppenheimer’s translation of that moment of an incomparable dawn at “Jornada del Muerto” ….

When the movie ‘Pearl Harbor’ premiered in May 2001 the obvious question was ‘Why are They putting out a movie about WW II ??’ and especially ‘Why Now ??’ Then only four months later the 9/11 attacks happened which the MSM instantly and repeatedly referred to as ‘The New Pearl Harbor’. This is not a discussion, this is Richard’s school room and he is just lecturing his “guests”. That’s why the volume on his mic is twice as loud as anyone else.
I’m was in the kitchen and listening on my stereo system and I had the volume set for the lowest levels, David is very low, so is Barbara. Then when Richard BOOMS IN, I have to run and turn it down so that my neighbors won’t complain!
