As my grandmother used to say–

A once-in-a-hundred-years global pandemic and resulting “global lockdowns” … of vastly different societies all around the planet; a record “wildfire season” here in the United States, presaging the coming inevitability of “global warming” … not just in the American West, but around the world (and the “fire season” hasn’t even formally started yet!); massive public demonstrations, of literally tens of millions of citizens around the world — a rising political clamor unseen in decades, against “systematic racism and police violence” world-wide; a president of the United States who has now, publically, insisted that everything would be fine … if we just “get rid of the ballots” — while simultaneously, NOT assuring voters that, if he loses the coming election, there will indeed be a normal “peaceful transition ….”

And then, just 47 days before literally “the most critical presidential election of our lifetimes” — to which ALL political sides, regardless of their individual rooting for the outcome, agree — the most esteemed member of the United States Supreme Court, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg, suddenly DIES ….

Dr. Richard B. Spence is a retired Professor of History at the University of Idaho.  His interests include Russian and military history along with espionage, occultism and anti-semitism.  His major published works include Boris Savinkov: Renegade on the Left, Trust No One: The Secret World of Sidney Reilly, Secret Agent 666: Aleister Crowley, British Intelligence and the Occult, and Wall Street and the Russian Revolution, 1905-1925. He is the author of numerous articles in Revolutionary Russia, Intelligence and National Security, Journal for the Study of Anti-Semitism, American Communist History, The Historian, New Dawn and other publications.  He has been interviewed on numerous programs and has been a commentator/consultant for the History Channel, the International Spy Museum, Radio Liberty and documentaries produced by the Russian Cultural Foundation.
